The Associations Policy
1. To promote all related businesses or businesses related to packaging.
2. To support and assist members in solving problems/constraints including fostering agreement with outside partners for a joint benefit in meeting the objective of packaging business, also to monitor and follow with the movement of internal and external marketing that is related to the product that their businessmen are engaged. This will give benefit to trade, finance, economy or the national security of the country.
3. To promote and disseminate technical information related to all types of packaging.
4. To promote and support the educational and technical development institutions related to all types of packaging.
5. To conduct research work related to all types of businesses which are in line with the Associations objectives.
6. To request for statistics, documents or information from members related to the implementation of their businesses to be line with the Associations objective by obtaining their approvals.
7. To promote the quality of the products manufactured or distributed for their members to meet standard and support research work and find ways to improve their products for yielding better trade result.
8. To cooperate with the government in promoting trade, industry, finance or other business economy that is in line with the objectives.
9. To promote production to ensure there is sufficient quantity to meet the demand of both internal and external markets.
Membership
The members of the Association are divided into 2 groups:
1. Ordinary memberships are those individuals or business partnerships that are related to all types of packaging and have legal registration according to the law.
2. Newsletter memberships are those who are interested in reading the newsletters of the Association.
Membership privileges
1. Have access to counseling and support in technical aspects of packaging.
2. Receive training and scholarship or field trip abroad.
3. Participate in academic activities, exhibitions or receive other services from the Association by paying special fees.
4. Give advice on maintaining interests in matters relevant to standard lists and ideas related to packaging.
5. Receiving news related to packaging from local and international sources through the Association.
6. Ordinary Member has voting right in the general meeting and the right to be selected as member the Associations Executive Committee.
Activities
1. Organize trainings, give advices, provide lectures, organize technical seminars in packaging.
2. Disseminate information and news relating to packaging industry by publishing the Thai Packaging Newsletter and the Packaging Directory Thailand as well as setting up the thaipack.com website.
3. Participate in meeting and/or become joint member of both the governmental and private institutions in packaging.
4. Organize Packaging exhibition such as Thai Pack, Thai Pack-Print, Asia Pack Asia Print, etc., and participate in exhibition to disseminate knowledge in packaging.
5. Participate as a Committee Member in setting standard related to packaging.
6. Join with the Department of Industrial Promotion in organizing the annual Thai Star packaging contest in order to further promote the participation in the Asia Star and World Star awards contest.
7. Make contacts and attend meetings with other packaging associations overseas.
8. Send members to attend seminars, trainings and field visit overseas. |
